The natural expression
of the territory
In the heart of Etna’s northern slope, Graci was founded in 2005 with a clear idea: to produce wines that are an authentic expression of a place unlike any other in the world. A living territory in constant transformation, where viticulture is an integral part of the landscape, the history, and the culture.
The vineyards lie on the northern slope of Etna, between 600 and 1,000 metres in altitude, in some of the mountain’s most prized contrade (crus). Here, on young and complex volcanic soils, we grow Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, varieties capable of precisely translating the identity of the different terroirs.
Our farming is guided by a principle of deep respect: care for biodiversity and for the vitality of the soil. We protect the woodlands, rebuild the dry-stone walls, and preserve a balance that has existed for centuries.
Each wine is a cultural product, born of continuous research in the vineyard and in the cellar.
Graci is an artisanal journey that unites past and future. A family project, rooted in Sicily’s agricultural tradition and committed to ongoing research, able to interpret Etna with authenticity and rigour.
our
Wines
The great diversity between one vintage and another, and between one vineyard and another, is the richness of our territories.
the territories
On the north slope
of Etna
We are situated on the North slope of Mount Etna at Passopisciaro, an area where viticulture goes back several thousand years. Our vineyards are to be found at an altitude of between 600 and 1,000 metres above sea level. Planting density ranges between 6,000 and 10,000 vines per hectare. Some of the vines are on their own roots, that is to say are ungrafted.
